Emily began playing piano at a young age and took private lessons for ten years, during which time she developed her technical and artistic skills and gained experience with the Royal Conservatory curriculum as well as the Kiwanis Music Festival. Her love of music grew when she later began to study trombone and played in many orchestras and bands, including the Nepean All-City Jazz Band. She has experience with classical, contemporary, and jazz music and has performed all over Canada, including at the Montreal International Jazz Festival, and with Canadian jazz legend Oliver Jones.
Emily believes that music is to be shared and is eager to pass on her love of playing through teaching. She believes that every student should have fun with and enjoy their musical education, and always strives to achieve this.
