Vivian Ma

Born into a musical family, my upbringing was a continuous immersion in both classical and contemporary music. This foundation, coupled with a cross-disciplinary background in Music and Science, allows me to offer a unique pedagogical perspective that bridges artistic intuition with logical rigor. Even before encountering formal methods like Suzuki or Orff, I possessed an innate understanding of music’s profound impact on human development. Through the mastery of the piano, I discovered the intricate threads connecting music to dance and fine arts, as well as its deep-rooted links to mathematics, physics, history, and economics.

My mission is to help students achieve "holistic mastery"—using music as a gateway to excel in multiple disciplines. By guiding students to connect their musical studies with their personal interests and academic subjects, I empower them to see the world through a more integrated lens. My teaching focuses on:
