Born in Malaysia and of Chinese and Indian heritage, Wei-Ling immigrated to Canada as a child and was raised in Ottawa and Guelph, Ontario. She studied in French immersion and is bilingual (English/French), with Chinese (Hokkien, Mandarin & Malay) as her first languages. Her global perspective, shaped by extensive international travel and multicultural experiences, allows her to connect easily with students from all backgrounds and to foster a welcoming, inclusive learning environment.
Wei-Ling believes music is a powerful tool to inspire creativity, discipline, confidence, and joy in children. Whether working with beginners or advancing students, her goal is to nurture a love of music and guide each learner according to their individual goals and pace.
Outside of teaching, Wei-Ling enjoys scuba diving, snowboarding, camping, and exploring the outdoors with family and friends. She’s excited to share her love of music and contribute meaningfully to the lives of young musicians in the community.
